The iimco News and Information product
As the Internet has changed from being a place to publish
an electronic brochure through to an electronic shop, many
site owners have realised that it is an excellent method for
communication with customers, suppliers and employees. However
to do that on a regular basis requires a method for updating
web pages quickly, easily and without having to learn about
the technology of the web.
iimco reacted to the start of this trend by developing
iimNI.
iimNI is a database driven application running on
our web servers that allows site owners to maintain a number
of pages linked to their web site. The pages are set up and
modified using simple forms displayed on their web browsers.
The information entered is stored in a database and displayed
through a template selected from a number of templates provided
by iimco.
A feature loved by several of its users is the facility to
set a "start" and "end" dates for a page
to be displayed. iimNI then automatically displays the page
between those dates only. Examples of the use of this facility
are:
- meeting announcements
- special, date related promotions
- seasonally relevant information
- and, of course - News and Information as it breaks!
The system is simple to use, so that site owners have to
concern themselves only with the page content and do not have
to worry about layout or styles. The style of the page templates
can easily be customised to fit in with that used on their
main web pages so that visitors are not aware of the seams.
If you visited the iimco Information pages accessible from
the front (home) page of this site you will have visited some
iimNI generated pages. Guests and clients are able to access
other applications of iimNI in the reserved, password protected
sections of this site.
You already have a web site, but would like to use iimNI...
... No problem, all you will need to do is:
- obtain an iimNI account from iimco
- include a link on your existing site to iimNI
- set your iimNI styles and enter your information
